If you're like me, you buy bananas every week. Sometimes they're eaten, and sometimes they're not. So what to do with all of those rotten bananas? By no means am I a baker, so if I can make this, so can you.

In fact, my oldest daughter at the age of 14 had taken over this recipe as her own. Now, every time she sees those little brown spotted bananas sitting in the corner, she takes it upon herself to whip up a new batch.

I can't remember where I initially found this recipe, but the paper is full of oil stains, the type print looks like it was from a typewriter and it's torn in about three different places.

Banana Chocolate Chip Bread

How do you make Banana Chocolate  Chip Bread?

For this recipe you'll need ripe bananas, all purpose flour, baking soda, salt, granulated sugar, milk, Canola oil, an egg and mini chocolate chips.

Start by peeling the bananas and place them in a blender; then blend until smooth. In a mixing bowl, add the flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar and mix together.

Next, add in the bananas, milk, egg and oil and gently stir until all ingredients have been incorporated. Add the chocolate chips and mix together.

Grease two 9x5 loaf pans, divide the batter between the two pans and bake at 350 degrees F for 45-50 minutes or until the top of the bread "springs back" when gently touched and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Though this recipe is technically for loaf bread, we tend to make muffins out of them so that we can freeze them individually. This way the kids can just pop one out one at a time and eat for a quick breakfast on the go.

This Banana Chocolate Chip Bread is a very forgiving recipe. You can throw all of the ingredients into one bowl, in any order you want, and it comes out perfect each time. ~Enjoy!
