Chicken salad made buffalo-style with white meat shredded chicken, celery, Ranch dressing and Buffalo Wing Sauce.
I've mentioned previously that I tend to make a roasted chicken at least 3 times a month. It's great to feed a family of four, plus we have leftovers for recipes like soup, add-ins to our favorite casserole dishes and of course, chicken salad for lunch.
Our youngest recently graduated from college and is living back home at the moment, and one of her go-to pantry items is Buffalo Wing Sauce.
I noticed that she had some opened and wanted to use it before it expired and made this simple Buffalo Chicken Salad. It's super easy to make, especially if using leftover or store bought rotisserie chicken.
This salad yields 4 servings and was delicious with a slight "kick" of flavor. Serve in a bowl to eat with crackers or vegetables or make a sandwich. ~Enjoy!

Ingredients Needed
To make this chicken salad you're going to need the following ingredients:
White Meat Chicken: Shredded or diced. If shredding, you can pull apart with your hands or place in a bowl and use a handheld mixer.
Ranch Dressing: We prefer Hidden Valley Ranch.
Buffalo Wing Sauce: Any brand will work, but we use Franks Red Hot Mild Buffalo Wing Sauce.

Wash the Celery
Years ago when I was working in food service, the health inspectors would always target any salad made with celery.
They contain a ton of bacteria if not washed properly so I always follow these steps when using celery in recipes; especially if the celery will be in cold salads or eating it raw.
- Chop off the ends of the celery you're not using.
- For salads, dice the celery in bite-sized pieces; then place in a mesh strainer.
- Run the celery under hot water for 30 seconds-rubbing off any excess visible dirt; then switch to cold water and run for another 30 seconds.
- Pat dry with paper towels (or a clean kitchen towel) before using.
How do you make Buffalo Chicken Salad?
Start by shredding the chicken; then place in the bowl along with the washed celery, ranch dressing, buffalo wing sauce and salt. Mix well; then place in a serving bowl.
