Crockpot BBQ Chicken Sliders

Whenever I purchase a roaster chicken, I try to buy the largest one. Not only are they great for family Sunday dinners, there is generally enough meat leftover to repurpose and create other dinners during the course of the week.

I've made chicken pot pie, chicken and wild rice soup, and Greek chicken salad to name a few, but wanted to try something new.

Since I had some leftover homemade whiskey maple bbq sauce, I decided to combine the two together and make these Crockpot BBQ Chicken Sliders.

How do you make BBQ Chicken Sliders?

This recipe was a godsend one night when I was in and out of the house all day transporting my daughters back and forth to work.

All you need is one-pound of leftover chicken, 1 cup of your favorite bbq sauce and slider rolls.

Combine the chicken and bbq sauce in your crockpot and heat on low from 2-8 hours; depending on how long you'll be gone for the day.

Take two forks and shred the chicken before placing them on the slider rolls and dinner is served! How easy is that?

These Crockpot BBQ Chicken Sliders were delicious and by using different flavors of bbq sauce, you will change up the flavor to your liking. Want them a little sweeter?

Try using my 10 Minute Blackberry BBQ Sauce. Want something with an Asian flare? Try this Asian BBQ Sauce. This recipe made 12 sliders and the family loved them.

If you don't have leftover chicken, bring 1 lb. of boneless chicken breast to a boil in a medium saucepan and allow to simmer until cooked through; approximately 12-15 minutes before placing in the crockpot. ~Enjoy!
