I was in the mood for a simple sugar cookie and the best recipe I've ever tasted comes from my sister in law Barbara. The cookies always come out nice and "fluffy" every time, just the way I like them.

So I took her recipe, added some pumpkin spice and chopped Pumpkin Spice Hershey's Kisses and came up with these Pumpkin Spice Kisses Sugar Cookies.

Pumpkin Spice Kisses Sugar Cookies

How do you make Pumpkin Spice Kisses Sugar Cookies?

For this recipe you'll need butter, confectioners sugar, an egg, vanilla extract, all purpose flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, pumpkin spice, Hershey's Pumpkin Spice Kisses, and cooking spray.

In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar; then add the egg and vanilla. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and pumpkin spice. Gradually add the flour to the sugar mixture. Mix until all ingredients have been combined.

Using a knife or a hand chopper, chop the kisses into small pieces then add them to the cookie batter; stirring only until the pieces have been mixed throughout. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Remove the dough, preheat oven to 350 degrees F and scoop the cookie dough onto a greased baking sheet with a medium 2 tablespoon scoop.

Bake approximately 10-12 minutes until the bottom turns slightly brown. DELICIOUS! And...so easy too.

Now I have to find some other way to use up the rest of the candy since I still have about 1 ½ bags left.

My kids were pleasantly surprised when they came home from school to a tasty treat.

These cookies are also perfect for Fall because pumpkin spice flavors are everywhere. ~Enjoy!

I had a hard time too. Robin told me to look in Target but I found them in my local grocery store, they just carried them later than other areas I guess. And you HAVE to try them with the powdered sugar. So fluffy, they're delicious!
