These Cheeseburger Sliders made with lean ground beef and Cheddar cheese on soft slider rolls will be your new go-to game day snack!
I must have made this recipe a half dozen times over the last few years and thought it was already on the blog. As it turns out, it was on the original platform, but never transferred over!
Sliders make a fun game day snack, kid friendly meal or even served with other food when hosting any gathering like graduation parties or over the summer for patriotic holidays.
We don't eat burgers often, but every now we crave burgers and fries. These siders are perfect because they're smaller in size. ~Enjoy!
Suggested Equipment
Ingredients Needed
Extra Lean Ground Beef
Minced Onion: You can use fresh or dried
Mayonnaise
Cheddar Cheese: Sliced or Shredded
Slider Rolls: We prefer Kings Hawaiian.
Butter (melted)
Sesame Seeds: You can also use poppy seeds, everything bagel seasoning or some garlic powder.
How do you make Cheeseburger Sliders?
Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F; then line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
Add the ground beef, mayonnaise and onion to a nonstick skillet and cook over high heat for 5-7 minutes until it's no longer pink. You can use a meat chopper to help break up the meat. When it's brown, remove from heat and set aside.
Cut the slider rolls in half horizontally using a serrated knife and place the bottom buns on the lined sheet pan. Use half of the cheese on the bottom of the rolls; then spread the ground beef evenly over the rolls and cheese.
Top the beef with the remaining cheese and place the tops of the slider buns on top. Melt the butter in a microwave safe dish; then add the sesame seeds.
Using a pastry brush, spread the melted butter mixture on top of the rolls evenly; then place the pan in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese has melted and the tops are golden brown.
Remove the pan from the oven and using a serrated knife, cut through the perforations to form 12 Cheeseburger Sliders
