Lemonade and Cream

If you enjoy the combination of sweet and tart desserts, you'll love this refreshing Frosted Lemonade made with a combination of lemonade and vanilla ice cream.

Though I've seen several recipes for Chick-Fil-A's copycat recipe for Frosted Lemonade all over the web lately, I've never tried one myself. Mostly because there isn't a restaurant near where we live.

However, you all know how much I LOVE lemon so I found a few recipes to try and came up with a combination of the simplest way possible to make this Frosted Lemonade myself.

Quick and easy recipes are what I love most, so when I see a recipe that makes something so complicated by adding a lot of ingredients I tend to shy away from them.

Realistically, I know it's because people try to make something more natural or healthier. Then there are times when it doesn't matter what ingredients you use, it's going to be unhealthy either way.

That's where simplicity kicks in and you get a three ingredient recipe that tastes amazing!

How do you make Frosted Lemonade?

For this recipe you'll need vanilla bean ice cream, frozen lemonade concentrate and lemon zest.

Add all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth; then pour into glasses and serve immediately. That's it! I did say it was simple right?

What other combinations can you try?

You can try other flavors, combinations and additions too!

  1. Try using french vanilla ice cream or pink lemonade
  2. If you want an alcoholic version, you can add some rum or vodka
  3. If you like your shakes a little thinner, you can add a little milk
  4. Freeze in an airtight container instead of drinking it right away and you can have lemonade ice cream!

I loved this Frosted Lemonade; however, our youngest daughter wasn't a huge fan. To be honest, she also isn't a huge fan of lemon so that would definitely explain that!

Now I'll have to try one of these at Chick-Fil-A to compare the taste next time I drive down to Florida.

I'll keep you posted, but in the meantime I'll definitely be making this frosty sweet and tangy treat again before the Summer is over! ~Enjoy!
