Gingerbread Spice Pretzels

Throughout the year, one snack remains a constant in our home...pretzels! My husband just loves them.

Over the years I've made a few varieties of seasoned pretzels like Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Pretzels, Pumpkin Spice Pretzels and Rosemary and Lemon Seasoned Pretzels.

These Gingerbread Spice Seasoned Pretzels have a spicy, buttery flavor and are my new Winter favorite. They make a tasty addition to holiday baking platters, after school or game day snacks.

Ingredients Needed

  • sourdough pretzels
  • ginger
  • cinnamon
  • cloves
  • nutmeg
  • allspice
  • black pepper
  • melted butter

All of the spices are ground and you can also use a premixed gingerbread spice if you can find it. I like to use whole sourdough pretzels; then break them up to smaller pieces myself.

How do you make Gingerbread Spice Seasoned Pretzels?

Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F; then combine all of the spices in a small bowl. Next, break apart the pretzels into bite sized pieces and place in a mixing bowl. Add the melted butter and spice mixture; then toss to coat.

Place the pretzels on a baking sheet; then bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container. This recipe makes 4 cups and trust me, they won't last very long!
