Boneless pork loin chops coated in grated Parmesan cheese and rosemary; then baked makes a delicious, gluten free and low carb dinner idea.
Pork chops and chicken are my go-to sources of weekly protein as I'm sure you're aware. Especially since I don't eat seafood.
But like anything else, I like to add some variety to our meals so that we're not eating the same recipes week after week.
These parmesan pork chops are a perfect dinner option for those on a gluten free or low-carb diet. With just a few simple ingredients, you can whip up a healthy and tasty meal.
The key to making these delicious parmesan pork chops is in the coating; which will give them a crispy, flavorful crust. Plus, pork is a great source of protein, making it a filling and nutritious option.
This recipe can be ready in about 30-40 minutes; depending on the size of your pork chops and serves four people. Enjoy!
Suggested Equipment
Ingredients Needed
To make these delicious parmesan pork chops, you'll need just a few simple ingredients.
Boneless Pork Loin Chops: We prefer boneless pork chops, but you can use bone-in. Just be aware of the thickness and time to cook as bone-in pork chops tend to be a bit thinner and will cook quicker.
Grated Parmesan Cheese: You can also use grated Pecorino Romano or Asiago cheese.
Garlic Powder
Fresh Chopped Rosemary
Large Eggs
Cooking Spray
How do you make Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops?
Start by preheating the oven to 375 degrees F; then spray cooking spray into an oven safe baking dish. Gather two shallow bowls for breading.
Combine the cheese, garlic powder and rosemary into one shallow bowl. In the second bowl, add the eggs and whisk.
Dip each pork chop first into the eggs; then into the cheese mixture; then place into the baking dish. Repeat for all; then spray the tops of the pork chops with cooking spray.
Place the dish in the oven and bake until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145 degrees F. This will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on the thickness of the pork.
Remove from the oven, allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Serving Suggestions
Because Parmesan cheese has a pungent and salty flavor, you'll want to pair this with sides and vegetables that are either more bland or contain similar flavors.
Here are a few suggestions:
Starch: Herb Roasted Baby Potatoes, Asiago Risotto, or Creamy Garlic and Herb Mashed Potatoes
Vegetables: Sea Salt Roasted Green Beans, Steakhouse Creamed Spinach, Italian Style Grilled Street Corn or Rosemary Roasted Carrots
