Selecting Pork Chops
When making any pork chop dish, the quality and cut of your pork chops are important. For this recipe, look for center cut loin chops that are 1 to 2 inches thick. You can use bone-in or boneless pork chops in this recipe.
If your pork chops come with extra fat, trim them to reduce the amount of grease in the skillet.
How do you make Honey Maple Pork Chops?
Spray the skillet with cooking spray; then gently place the pork chops in the pan and let them cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and lightly charred.
While the pork chops are cooking, combine the honey, syrup and sage in a small bowl and whisk until smooth.
Once the pork chops are almost cooked through, reduce heat to medium-low and pour the honey mixture over them.
Cover the pan with a lid and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes or until the minimum internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F.
Serving Suggestions
Plate the pork chops either left whole or slice them; then pour the thickened sauce on top.
Serve with a side of Sweet Potato and Sage Risotto and Sea Salt Roasted Green Beans. Enjoy!
