We eat a lot of chicken for dinner whether it be boneless, ground, whole roasts or chicken thighs. These Paprika Roasted Chicken Thighs are super easy, need only four ingredients and can be ready in under 1 hour.

Sweet Hungarian paprika is mild with a with a slight sweet flavor that is similar to a red bell pepper. It's commonly used in recipes like goulash and chicken paprikash.

These chicken thighs are crispy with a flavorful coating keeps the meat tender, juicy and fall off the bone delicious. ~Enjoy!

Suggested Equipment

  • Basting Brush

Ingredients Needed

To make this recipe you're going to need the following ingredients:

Chicken Thighs: This recipe uses bone-in, skin-on thighs. If using boneless, skinless thighs, you will need to reduce the cooking time and they may not be as juicy. Usually, one bone-in chicken thigh yields about 3 oz of meat.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Paprika: We like sweet paprika, but you can use smoked, hot or Spanish.

Kosher Salt

How do you make Paprika Roasted Chicken Thighs?

Start by preheating the oven to 425 degrees F; then add the chicken thighs skin side up to a baking dish.

In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika and salt; then brush it evenly on top of the chicken. Place the dish in the oven and roast for 50-60 minutes.

Time may vary depending on the size of your chicken thighs, but the internal temperature should be 175 degrees F when a meat thermometer is inserted into the thickest part of the meat.

Remove the pan from the oven and allow to sit for 5 minutes before serving.
