Hey Carrie, I don't have your email but when I saw this latest post I wanted to share.
So we've been doing a lot of grilling lately and I've doing a bit of experimenting with grilled vegetables.
Because it's vegetables, I try to keep it simple as not to over power the meat that I spent all the time preparing and grilling. Anyway, here's my most recent experiment that I've adapted from what many people do in the oven:
Brussels Sprouts.
One container of Sprouts
1 Tbs Olive Oil
1 tsp Lemon Pepper Seasoning
Method:
Wash/ Clean & remove bottom portion as you would normally prepare.
Cut them in half and place in a bowl or resealable container/zip lock bag.
Add Olive Oil and lemon Pepper.
Toss, shake, fold... whatever it takes to coat the sprouts evenly and set aside
Heat grill to High Heat and place a grilling basket / wok over the heat for a minute or 2 to heat it up.
I give the basket quick spray with PAM, but I don't think its needed.
Place the sprouts in the basket, spread them out evenly and close the lid. Wait about 3-5 minutes, stir or shake the basket. Close the lid and repeat stirring every 3-5 minutes until the sprouts get your desired doness/charring. The reason I cut them in half to speed up the grilling time so depending on how many you make, it only takes about 10-15 minutes,
serve immediately.
Its something that you can make after you've cooked the main dish (while your grilled meat is resting)
and the grill is still hot . It's an easily modified recipe for seasonings/ preferred taste (I use McCormick Lemon Pepper grinder) and can be adjusted as needed for multiple servings.
Take Care and I hope to see you guys soon!

Thanks for sharing Coop! I'm not a fan of the sprouts, but they do sound great with the lemon pepper seasoning. I'll have to give these a try next time I'm cooking for a crowd. Hope all is well! 🙂
